Easy Integration With Lightspeed POS Makes Ascent360 A Perfect Fit

GOLDEN, COLO., April 14, 2021 — Today, Ascent360 announced that Pennsylvania’s Up-N-Running stores adopted the Ascent360 platform. The two-store chain is excited to shake up its marketing approach and explore the growth potential in data driven marketing.

Ed Doyle opened the first Up-N-Running store in Valencia, Pennsylvania, in 2004 and a second location, in Ebensburg, in 2015. The entire Doyle family is passionate about running. Kevin Doyle, Ed’s son, was a professional runner with Olympic aspirations. And Ed’s daughter in law, Julie Doyle, serves as Chief Running Officer. The family has made it their mission to “help create an inclusive running and walking environment in Pennsylvania while also giving back to the community.”

Personalization has always been a key part of Up-N-Running’s business model; the stores offer fitting and shoe recommendations based on expert gait analysis. Julie Doyle said that Ascent360 seemed like an ideal fit for helping the store further its personalization efforts via marketing. “It’s really cool that we will be able to make shoe, apparel, accessory and event recommendations to people based on past purchases and interests,” said Julie.

The move to Ascent360 follows closely on a recent 2019 upgrade to the Lightspeed POS platform from an antiquated POS system. “The move to Lightspeed gave us visibility between stores, which was a huge help,” Julie explained. “A big part of the reason we looked at Ascent360 is because of the integration with Lightspeed and the fact that it’s a really approachable platform that could really help our growth potential…I’m excited to dig in and start trying to some new campaigns and rebuild our community through things like our Shoes
and Brews events when it’s safe to gather again.”
